Cancellation of Crosthwaite Show 2019

Unfortunately the Show Committee has had to make a decision to cancel this year’s Show, scheduled for September 7th.

The reason for this is that a number of the main organisers have some serious commitments, including health issues, which make it difficult to manage the workload involved.

Landowners of Crosthwaite & Lyth Summer Walk
Butterflies and other wildlife on Township Plantation

Saturday 29th June

Meet at 1.30pm at the Millstone, The Howe

The Trustees of the Landowners of Crosthwaite and Lyth are delighted to have Rob Petley-Jones leading a walk for us this year.

Rob has managed some of the best wildlife sites in south Cumbria for many years and has been recognised by Butterfly Conservation for his work on conserving butterflies and moths. He has led several very successful walks for us in the past. He will concentrate on butterflies on Township Plantation but our attention will be drawn to other wildlife that we see during the walk.

The pace will be leisurely but paths can be rough and muddy (even in summer) so please come prepared.

All are welcome including well-behaved dogs on short leads.

For more information please ring Tony Marshall on 015395 68304
