The AGM will see the retirements of three long standing Committee Members, Chair Jim Bownass, Vice Chair Marylin Shuttleworth and Treasurer Gordon Pitt. All have given long and generous service to the village. To help mark this event, a Quiz and Pudding Evening is to be held in the Village Hall immediately following the AGM, at 7.30pm.

Teams of 4 are invited to compete for the honour of winning. Admission is £5 per person, which includes a home made pudding. Tea and coffee will available, but please bring your own alcoholic or soft drinks. If you haven’t got a team of 4 together but would like to come in the fun, or form into teams on the night. Tickets from Pam Bownass on 015395 68203 or on the door.

All households in the Parish have now received the consultation document from the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group. The Parish Council are keen that all residents respond to the questionnaire, which should be filled in and returned in the original envelope to the collection boxes located in the Village Hall and the Church foyer, by April 24th.

The Damson Day Fair attracted a record number of almost four thousand visitors. The fine weather and the fact that the Damson Blossom this year was at its most spectacular for many years, all helped to boost this popular annual event.

Crosthwaite and Lyth WI welcomed members from Bingley Five Rise Frocks WI to Damson Day. They enjoyed a Damson Blossom walk and afternoon tea with Crosthwaite members. They presented Crosthwaite with a white floribunda rose bush, named ‘With Love’ which will be planted by the cross on St. Mary’s Green.
