Crosthwaite Community News report April 11th 2019

 

Damson Day will take place at Low Farm, Lyth Valley on Saturday 13th April.

All are welcome to this fun community event to mark the arrival of Spring in the Lyth Valley.

This is to be followed by the Damson Day Service, also at Low Farm, led by Rev. Michael Woodcock at 11.00am on Sunday 14th April. All welcome.

Crosthwaite and Lyth Outdoor Bowling Club resumed on March 23rd. They look forward to another enjoyable season with old and new members. Membership is open to anyone from the adjoining parishes of Brigsteer, Cartmel Fell, Crook,Underbarrow, Winster and Witherslack. For details please contact Pat Walker (Secretary )on 015395 68584.

Crosthwaite and Lyth WI are pleased to welcome Dr.Sarah Watson to their next meeting on Wednesday April 17th, 7.30pm, at Argles Memorial Hall. Dr Watson will speak about her experiences as a Medical Volunteer in Nepal and Peru. New members welcome.
