Crosthwaite Community News report March 21st 2019

 

Crosthwaite post office (in The Punch Bowl) will be closed from Thursday 21st March until Monday 1st April.

Argles Memorial Hall Committee still has a vacancy as a result of the upcoming retirements of 3 long standing members. Anyone is welcome to volunteer for this very rewarding role. The Village Hall plays an important part in the life of the Village, and it needs people committed to maintaining the vibrancy and variety of events which take place there. Crosthwaite and. Lyth WI are holding a Craft Day on Saturday May 18th. Makers and sellers of hand crafted goods, (excluding food)are invited to come along and demonstrate their craft and sell their goods. The event will be open to the public and is entirely free. The WI are hosting the day to raise awareness and participation in craft activities within local communities. It forms part of a National Week of events under the ‘Get Creative’ initiative . This is not a fund raising event. and makers will not be charged for a table, though these will be allocated before the event. To book a table please contact Anne Douglas,
