Crosthwaite Community News report January 25th 2019

Dracula and the (almost) Seven Dwarfs has its World Premiere in Crosthwaite Village Hall on Friday 25th January, at 7pm, with an encore performance on Saturday 26th. Limited tickets available on the door.

Crosthwaite and Lyth WI enjoyed an amusing and informative talk from Penny Aubrey about her early life in New Zealand. Penny also recounted some of the Maori myths and legends which shaped the culture of the country.

Argles Memorial Hall Committee have announced the forthcoming retirement of Jim Bownass as Chairman and Marilyn Shuttleworth as Vice Chair. Both will step down after the Spring AGM.

Jim has been Chairman for 20 years and has been a committed and dedicated custodian of the Hall. Under the stewardship of Jim, Marylin and the rest of the Committee, the Hall has thrived. However, to ensure that the Hall continues to be maintained as the hub of Village life, the Committee is looking for two people willing to take on the roles of Chair and Vice Chair.

Further information is available from the Argles Hall Committee Secretary, Anne Douglas at.
